Explore the Apocalypse at "In the End"

SHREVEPORT, LA — Discuss stories of apocalypse with Dr. Susan Brayford, Professor Emerita of Religious Studies, during the Christian Leadership Center (CLC)-sponsored "In the End" seminar Friday, April 20, and Saturday, April 21.

  • What: "In the End: A Seminar on the Revelation to John"

  • When: April 20, 5:30-8:00 p.m.; April 21, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. (1.5 hour lunch break)

  • Cost: $85

Participants of the seminar are highly encouraged to read The History of the End of the World by Jonathan Kirsch. Although the text is not required, the book will be discussed during the Saturday afternoon session.

Dr. Brayford taught at Centenary College from 1998 until her retirement in Spring 2011. While at Centenary, she served as Assistant and Associate Professor of Religious Studies, and also served as Associate Dean of the College. She is a former professor of the Iliff School of Theology, the University of Denver, and the University of Colorado.

She offered a series focused on stories of origin, "In the Beginning," at Centenary in the fall.
