Dr. Kelly Weeks moderates Be Fair Shreveport forum

SHREVEPORT, LA — Associate Professor of Business Kelly Weeks will moderate a business forum for Be Fair Shreveport Wednesday, June 20, at 5:30 p.m. at CoHabitat in downtown Shreveport. The forum is free and open to the public.

Panelists will explore how businesses can attract the "creative class" of highly talented, high-tech knowledge-based workers:

  • Brandon Oldenburg, Oscar winner and co-founder of Moonbot Studios

  • Angelita Jackson, HR Director, City of Shreveport

  • John Grindley, Executive Director, CoHabitat

  • DeAnn Arnold, former HR Director, LSUS and doctoral student in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, LA Tech

  • Richard Brower, National Director for LGBT Marketing, Harrah's

Dr. Weeks has been a member of Centenary's faculty since 2002. She obtained her Ph.D. in management from the University of Memphis with specializations in organizational behavior and human resources. She most recently taught an immersive short course in May with Dr. Jeanne Hamming on "Significant Otherness and our Inner Ape."

Be Fair Shreveport is a joint project of PACE (People Acting for Change and Equality) and the Forum for Equality that focuses on shaping and reinforcing fairness and diversity in the workplace while promoting economic development in the Shreveport community.
