Scarlato appointed Associate Director of Re-Enrollment

SHREVEPORT, LA — Deborah Scarlato '78 has been named Centenary's Associate Director of Re-Enrollment. Scarlato will be a familiar face for returning students this fall as she has been the Assistant to the Registrar since 2005.

"I am thrilled to have the opportunity to continue working closely with faculty and students. We do have the best of both here at Centenary," said Scarlato. "I am anticipating a full, creative, busy, and rewarding year."

In her work as Assistant to the Registrar, Scarlato assisted members of the Centenary community in accessing transcripts and records while making sure the College's procedures aligned with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).

Prior to joining the Registrar's Office, Scarlato worked in Centenary's Admission Office as a Data Entry Specialist and Receptionist. She has an extensive background in finance and accounts payable work.

Scarlato will join Nicole Deese, Director of Re-Enrollment, who arrived at Centenary last fall. Scarlato already helped Deese institute new programs during the 2011-12 academic year to encourage re-enrollment among students: Featuring your Favorites, How To Series, and Express Yourself.

"I am excited to continue working with Deborah in this new capacity," said Nicole Deese, Director of Re-Enrollment. "She has both experience and fresh ideas that will be an asset to our office and to the campus community."
