Centenary recognized among top 15 percent of all U.S. colleges

SHREVEPORT, LA — Centenary College has been named among the top 15 percent of all four-year colleges in the country, according to the Princeton Review. The Princeton Review noted Centenary as being one of the "Best 377 Colleges," "Best Southeastern Colleges," and "Best Value Private Colleges for 2012."

"We are honored to be recognized among the top 15 percent of all colleges in the country," said Matt Bailey, Senior Director of Marketing & Communication. "Here at Centenary, we are committed to providing a top-notch education and developing leaders for a changing world."

The rankings for "Best 377 Colleges" and "Best Southeastern Colleges" were compiled from student responses of an 80-question survey. The surveys are divided into four main sections: "About Yourself," "Your School's Academics/Administration," "Students," and "Life at School." In response to the survey, one Centenary student noted the College's "community atmosphere" and the "one-on-one help" provided by professors.

The Princeton Review describes "Best Value Colleges" as providing stellar academics with a modest price tag. These colleges, including Centenary, were chosen based upon institutional data such as academic rating, financial aid rating, and tuition GPA as well as student survey responses.

Since 1981, the Princeton Review has been an education services company providing test-prep courses, classes, tutoring, books, and other student resources.
