Admission Office invites prospective students to Academic Showcase

SHREVEPORT, LA — Centenary's Admission Office will host an Academic Showcase for prospective students November 11-12. The Showcase is a two-day, overnight program for prospective students who want an in-depth look at Centenary academics.

"Academic Showcase is a perfect chance for prospective students to see the real Centenary College," said Centenary Admission Counselor Eleanore Silverberg. "The program is not about observing from the sidelines. It's about jumping in, being a part of the action, and experiencing the best of Centenary firsthand."

Prospective students can choose from three separate campus tours geared toward particular fields of interests: natural sciences, music/fine arts, and humanities/social science. Following the tours, students will get the chance to attend a Science Circus, put on by Physics and Chemistry students, or an open dress rehearsal of Camerata, Centenary's primary academic choral ensemble. A performance by Alan's Hot Tub, a comedy improv group, will follow.

Monday morning, prospective students will get the full Centenary experience when attending a class of their choice or meeting with a faculty member. Student and alumni-led panel discussions will close out the Academic Showcase.

Centenary College is developing leaders for a changing world. Visit the campus during Academic Showcase and learn why Centenary is a U.S. News & World Report Tier One National Liberal Arts College.
