Second edition of Encircle coming soon

SHREVEPORT, LA — The second edition of Centenary College's publication Encircle will begin arriving in mailboxes next week. Encircle features stories of Centenary students, alumni, faculty, and staff making a significant impact in both the global and local community.

"Encircle provides an in-depth look at some of today's most pressing issues," said Matt Bailey, Senior Director of Marketing & Communication. "You will see how members of the Centenary community draw from their Centenary experiences to engage and lead in their communities and in the world."

Encircle is organized around Centenary's three global challenges: leading a meaningful life, expanding circles of engagement, and developing a sustainable life. The global challenges were shaped and approved by the Centenary faculty as an inquiry and action framework for students.

This edition of Encircle takes Centenary alumni, students, and staff from Shreveport to Chicago to London to Haiti. Members of the Centenary family have shared lessons of peace with world leaders, encouraged Olympic athletes to compete clean, changed lives through humanitarian efforts, and revolutionized pipeline safety for a cleaner path to energy independence.

Centenary professors tackle current hot-button issues in "Ask the Experts."

"A Final Word" from President David Rowe explores how Centenary College is defining church-related liberal arts education for the twenty-first century.
