"Margo has shown us her leadership, creativity, and initiative in her role as Director for Strategic Communication," said Scott Rawles, Vice President for Advancement. "We know that she will bring these same winning qualities to the Stewardship Office, filling a significant role as Centenary moves forward."

In her new role, Shideler will lead the Office of Stewardship, which nurtures Centenary's strong connections with donors, alumni, and friends of the College and preserves the College's timeless traditions. Stewardship also includes the offices of Donor Relations, Alumni and Family Relations, United Methodist Church Relations, and the Archives of the College and the United Methodist Church.

Prior to rejoining her alma mater, Shideler honed her skills working as Press Secretary for a U.S. Congressman and at global communication consultancy, APCO Worldwide in Washington, D.C. Upon her return to Shreveport, she served as Director of Marketing & Communication for the Community Foundation of North Louisiana. Shideler graduated from Centenary with a B.A. in Political Science and a B.A. in French before obtaining an M.A. in International Affairs from The George Washington University.

"As an alumna of Centenary College, I am especially excited about the opportunity to forge stronger connections with the donors, alumni, and friends of the College," said Shideler. "I look forward to continuing work with my talented and dedicated colleagues to support the critical efforts of Centenary's students, faculty, and staff."

An active member of the community, Shideler serves on the boards of the Highland Jazz and Blues Festival and the Shreveport-Bossier Chi Omega Alumnae Chapter, and on the steering committee of TEDx RedRiver.
