"Our accompanists hold a special place within the Choir family and tradition," said Dr. David Hobson, Centenary's A.C. "Cheesy" Voran Choir Director. "With this full tuition scholarship comes the rare undergraduate opportunity to not only build your resumé through a number of performances but also accompany the choir on international tours. The Choir has performed in 32 countries and presented programs in some of the most distinguished venues in the world, such as the Sydney Opera House and great cathedrals like Notre Dame and Saint Peter's Basilica."

The Hurley School of Music also offers the Mary C. White Scholarship, a full tuition scholarship for students of any instrument or voice type demonstrating great professional promise.

The next audition dates for these scholarships are February 22-23. Interested students should contact the Hurley School of Music at 318.869.5235 or email to set up auditions.

Musicians at Centenary study in an all-undergraduate environment. This focus on undergraduates gives all music students various opportunities to perform as soloists, lead groups as a conductor, participate in ensembles, or act in stage roles. Students are mentored individually, giving them help with every stage of their preparation for the job market or graduate school.

Students majoring in music at Centenary can pursue general studies in music or concentrate their studies in performance, sacred music, composition, or choral music.
