Home Away from Home Grants available for incoming local full-time, first year students

SHREVEPORT, LA — Centenary College announced today that eligible incoming first year students will have the opportunity to receive Home Away from Home Grants for the 2013 fall semester. The room grant is available to new, full-time first year students who have a parent or legal guardian residing in Bossier or Caddo Parish.

"The Centenary Experience incorporates action-oriented learning both inside and outside the classroom," said Gail Roberson, Centenary Director of Admission. "We are thrilled to offer these grants to applicants from the Shreveport-Bossier area so that they can have the full experience. We know that they will find Centenary to be a true home away from home."

The grant will have an award amount up to $2,500 per semester, and will be determined by need indicated by the FAFSA. All students interested in applying should file the FAFSA. Students are automatically considered upon application to Centenary.

Home Away from Home Grants will be renewable for students who continue to meet all the requirements.
