"The Santé group designed a series of marketing materials to create an understanding of how and why the clinic functions," said Centenary senior and Santé resident Jordan Ring. "We are hosting two open houses at the MLK Center to showcase our materials with hopes of identifying new investors."

Centenary's living learning communities enable students who share a common purpose to live in a common residence. Students join with a team of faculty, professionals, and community members to identify a problem, understand it, and take steps to overcome it.

Santé is designed to help Centenary students partner with local and international groups to improve the health of the least advantaged. Santé students graduate with a commitment to global health and are prepared for careers of service, both nationally and internationally.

Beginning this past fall, Santé partnered with the MLK Health Center to develop a brand. In order to gain a holistic understanding of what the clinic does, Santé students spent several months interviewing doctors, patients, and volunteers. The clinic not only serves the community but builds community by establishing a friendship between health providers and patients.

The MLK Health Center provides services to patients who do not qualify for government insurance programs and cannot afford private health insurance. The clinic teaches its patients how to manage their chronic conditions and adapt their lifestyle to create a more meaningful existence.

A grant to Santé from the Charles T. and Carolyn Beaird Family Foundation helped fund the marketing materials for the MLK Health Center. More information about Santé and the work they do is available.
