"Tommy is a fine addition to both our Centenary family and our Admission team," said Monty Curtis, Vice President for Enrollment Services. While working at Southern Methodist University, his alma mater, Newton received the Loretta Hawkins Award, an honor given annually to an outstanding staff member.

Newton comes to Centenary with his wife, Amy, his 2 year old daughter, Milly, and a son due to be born in late-August.

"My family and I are all thrilled to be the newest members of the Centenary family!" said Newton. "We are really excited to meet faculty, staff, students, and alumni of Centenary College and to work hard to reach our enrollment goals!"

Newton is a graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University with a bachelor of arts in history and political science and Southern Methodist University with a master of liberal arts in interdisciplinary studies.
