The artwork on display will include oil, acrylic, pastel, watercolor, graphics, and mixed media. The exhibit is one of two judged shows scheduled for this year.

Several nationally known artists founded the Shreveport Art Club in 1921. Throughout the years, the group has brought numerous exhibitors from across the country, sponsored an array of local exhibits, and supported art education efforts.

Currently, SAC meetings are held on the first Tuesday of the month, from September through June, at the Randle T. Moore Center. Each meeting includes a demonstration provided by a local or regional artist in any one of various media.

Meetings are free and open to the public. For more information on meetings or membership, call 318.347.7538.

The Shreveport Art Club exhibit is available for viewing in Magale Library's lobby during regularly scheduled library hours.
