Four community leaders join Centenary Board of Trustees

SHREVEPORT, LA — Four new members have been elected to the Board of Trustees of Centenary College of Louisiana: Mrs. Emily Elizabeth "Beth" Bonner Deville '99, Mr. Mark Eldredge '82, Ms. Lennis S. Elston '66, and incoming SGA President Greg Ewing. Their tenure began July 1.

"We are privileged to have these members of the Centenary family invest their time and energy back into the institution," said Scott Rawles, Centenary Executive Vice President. "They are proven leaders on campus and in the community. All four will continue to have a vital role in guarding the identity and longevity of Centenary."

The Board of Trustees, which acts as the governing body of the College, is entrusted with preserving Centenary's mission and setting forth policy. With the newly elected additions, the current Board has 34 regular members, 16 life members, and six ex-officio members.

Mrs. Emily Elizabeth "Beth" Bonner DeVille

Emily DeVille is a 1999 graduate of Centenary College. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Communication. While at Centenary, she was a member of the women's volleyball team and Honor Court. Since graduation she served on the Alumni Council as Past President. In 2004, she spearheaded the formation of a Baton Rouge alumni chapter. DeVille helped start a pharmaceutical firm, Pernix Therapeutics, LLC and is currently the Vice President of Sales and Marketing.

Mr. Mark D. Eldredge

Mark Eldredge is a 1982 graduate of Centenary, where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. While at Centenary he was a member of the men's tennis team and Kappa Sigma fraternity. Since graduation he served as a member of the Alumni Council. Eldredge is a partner in the Shreveport accounting firm: Heard, McElroy & Vestal. He is currently the Partner-In-Charge of the firm's Accounting Services Department.

Ms. Lennis S. Elston

Lennis Elston is a 1966 Centenary graduate, where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. She pursued her Master of Public Administration at Louisiana Tech University. While at Centenary, she was a member of Chi Omega and Maroon Jackets. Since graduation, she became a member of the Women's Endowment Quorum and served as the 2010 Centenary Fund Board Chair.

Mr. Greg Ewing

Greg Ewing is a rising senior at Centenary studying Philosophy and Business. The Shreveport native is the incoming Student Government Association President and will serve as an ex-officio Trustee as part of his role.
