Greeks celebrate successful recruiting year, Homecoming

SHREVEPORT, LA — This year's Greek recruitment was a great success for all chapters as a high number of first-year students participated in rush. Overall, thirty-three percent of Centenary students have gone Greek. The organizations were proud of both their retention and the quality of new recruits.

"The Centenary Greek system is a lot different than what you might see at a bigger school," said Greg Ewing, President of the International Fraternity Council. "It is a great place to get involved and start building leadership skills. I don't think I would be where I am today without being involved in my Greek organization."

The skills Centenary Greeks learn while in college lend themselves to alumni who remain involved and philanthropic long after they graduate. Greek groups will get the chance to share in food, fellowship, and fun during 2013 Homecoming at Greek-themed events as well as all-inclusive alumni events.
