"The Reese's All-Star game is a terrific event for the coaches, student-athletes and fans."

Blount concluded his career among the top scorers in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference and Centenary program history. The senior, who was named SCAC Player of the Year in back-to-back seasons, posted 1,573 career points which ranks eighth in school history and ninth in the SCAC. The two-time All-SCAC performer also holds the Gents' single-game scoring record with 53 points earlier this season.

During the Gents' SCAC Tournament run that led the Maroon and White to its first title game appearance since 1990, Blount became the conference's new single-season scoring leader. He averaged 28.3 points and scored 85 total points during the tournament setting new SCAC Tournament marks and helped solidify his announcement to the SCAC All-Tournament Team.

Blount is set to graduate in the spring with multiple degrees.

"Jonathan has meant so much to the school, program and his hometown area," said Centenary head coach Adam Walsh. "He came to Centenary on an academic scholarship and has had a strong basketball career in the maroon and white and this is another piece in helping solidify his career and the Centenary program in Division III. I'd like to personally challenge the Centenary family and the Shreveport-Bossier City community in supporting Jonathan by voting for him to represent us in the All-Star game."

Centenary finished the season with an 18-10 record marking the first winning season since the 2002-03 team went 16-12 and the most wins in a season since the 1990-91 squad posted a 17-12 record or the 1989-90 team went 22-8.
