Centenary names Bailey as Acting Dean

SHREVEPORT, LA — Centenary College recently announced that Matt Bailey, Senior Director of Marketing & Communication, has been appointed as Acting Dean of Enrollment and Communication. Bailey will provide administrative leadership in support of Admission, Financial Aid, Re-Enrollment, and Career Services while continuing to oversee the progress and operations of Marketing & Communication.

"Matt has achieved tremendous results in guiding the transformation of Centenary's marketing and communication functions since his arrival in 2011 and is dedicated to the College and our shared mission," said President David Rowe. "I appreciate his willingness to step into this new role as we transition and move forward."

Prior to his work at Centenary, Bailey served as Economic Development Coordinator in the office of Shreveport Mayor Cedric Glover and Legislative Assistant for U.S. Senator Mary Landrieu.

"I am proud to have this opportunity to serve Centenary College in an expanded role," said Bailey. "I look forward to continuing to work with our dedicated staff and national-recognized faculty to support Centenary's overall enrollment and communication efforts as we develop leaders for a changing world."

Bailey earned a law degree at The George Washington University Law School and graduated summa cum laude from Northwestern State University where he serves on the alumni board. Currently, he is a participant in the 2014 class of Leadership Louisiana and serves as chairman of the Louisiana Budget Project. A Jena, Louisiana, native, he served six years in the Louisiana Army National Guard.
