Spring Encircle hits mailboxes

SHREVEPORT, LA — Centenary College has released the Spring 2014 issue of Encircle, a publication that shares stories of graduates, faculty, staff, and students making significant, positive impacts throughout the world. Encircle readers will find the College's alumni and students promoting French and global immersion, securing clean water resources for the future, navigating family businesses in an unstable market, and fighting the alarming battle of hunger in America.

"Encircle tells stories of Centenary graduates who do more in their careers, their communities, and the world," said Matt Bailey, Acting Dean of Enrollment and Communication. "Centenary's culture develops leaders for a changing world—the kind of leaders who just naturally do more—and our world is better for it."

Encircle is organized around three global challenges, which were developed and approved by the Centenary faculty as an inquiry and action framework for students. Its articles touch on issues from a variety of perspectives: local, national, and international. The title, Encircle, encapsulates President David Rowe's narrative of Centenary's special responsibility to encircle the world with wise, caring, moral leaders developed to engage the challenges of the 21st century.
