Centenary announces two summer school sessions
SHREVEPORT, LA — Centenary College has announced course offerings during its two summer school sessions from June 4 to June 27 and July 8 to July 31. Registration deadline is the starting day of each session, but early registration is encouraged.
Like most summers, students taking summer classes will find their tuition costs have been reduced by three-fourths of the fall/spring semester rate. The plan allows the college to serve Centenary students as well as area high schoolers and students from other colleges who are home for the summer.
The following classes will meet five days a week June 4 to June 27:
8:30 — 10:30 a.m. — English 341: Ernest Hemingway and Modern American Fiction
8:30 a.m. — 12:30 p.m. — Psychology 304: Statistics for Behavioral Science
8:30 a.m. — 3:00 p.m. — French 101: Elementary French I and French 102: Elementary French II
10:30 a.m. — 12:30 p.m. — Chemistry 105: Chemistry and Society
3:00 — 5:00 p.m. — Career 253: Career Strategies
The following classes will meet five days a week July 8 to July 31:
8:30 a.m. — 3:00 p.m. — French 201: Intermediate French I and French 202: Intermediate French
8:30 — 10:30 a.m. — English 301: African-American Literature
1:00 — 3:00 p.m. — Geology 103: Atmosphere, Climate, and Earth
The French courses will be taught as one intensive course, giving students the opportunity to earn six credit hours in one summer session.
