"We are very glad to welcome Kate to the Centenary family," said Matt Bailey, Acting Dean of Enrollment and Communication. "Her impressive professional experience coupled with her deep Shreveport roots will make for a smooth transition as we wrap up this year and move into the next. She is a great addition to the team."

Prior to her arrival at Centenary, Pedrotty served as the Executive Director for the Shreveport Metropolitan Ballet, where she spearheaded all public relations, marketing, and fundraising efforts. Taking on the role of Director of Strategic Communication marks a return for Pedrotty, who previously served as a lecturer in Centenary's history department. She will promote the College through coordinated news media and public relations efforts and oversee production of major institutional print publications.

"I'm very excited to be back at Centenary College," said Pedrotty. "I am committed to Centenary's liberal arts mission and look forward to sharing the College's achievements with the local, national, and global community."

Pedrotty obtained a master of arts in history from the University of Illinois and holds a bachelor of arts with dual departmental honors in dance and history from Randolph-Macon Woman's College. She lives in Shreveport with her husband, Mike, and two children, Gil and Mary Rose.
