"Bob's extensive knowledge and experience in financial management and budgeting is a great match for where Centenary stands today and where we're headed," said Centenary President David Rowe. "His work in developing new processes, engaging complex systems, and effectively leading teams will serve us well."

Blue comes to Centenary from Global Strike Command at Barksdale Air Force Base where he was handpicked to serve as chief financial officer to guide the Command's budget and financial management operations. Blue served as Director of Financial Management and Comptroller in which he oversaw an annual budget of approximately $4.6 billion and directed the Command's complex financial systems and management processes affecting thousands of airmen.

His career also includes time leading financial analysis for the Air Force Materiel Command and budget operations for the Air Mobility Command, serving as a high-level advisor in the Pentagon, working on Capitol Hill on congressional appropriations, and commanding the 437th Comptroller Squadron.

"I am honored to be a member of the Centenary family," said Blue. "I look forward to collaborating with my new colleagues as we engage challenges, take advantage of opportunities, and move the College toward realizing Dr. Rowe's established vision."

Blue holds degrees from The Citadel and Webster University. His Air Force awards include the Meritorious Service Medal, with 3 oak leaf clusters; Air Force Outstanding Unit Awards, with Valor and 4 oak leaf clusters; Global War on Terrorism Service Medal; Kuwait; and the Liberation Medal, Government of Kuwait; among others.
