Centenary welcomes new Visiting Professor of Physics

SHREVEPORT, LA — Centenary welcomes Dr. Kinsey Cotton Kelly to campus as the new Visiting Assistant Professor of Physics.

"I am really looking forward to teaching students in Centenary's intimate classroom setting and providing a quality education in which students can grow on a professional and personal level," said Cotton Kelly. "Centenary is unique in that it values student growth on both professional and personal levels and I'm excited to be part of that tradition."

Cotton Kelly comes to Centenary from LSU Health Shreveport where she completed her postdoctoral fellowship at the Feist-Weiller Cancer Center. She received both her BS in biomedical engineering and PhD in biomedical engineering with an emphasis in neuroscience at Louisiana Tech University. In 2012, Cotton Kelley received the PhD Outstanding Research Award from the Biomedical Engineering Program at Louisiana Tech University.

Before joining Centenary's faculty, Cotton Kelly gained experience as a teaching assistant in systems physiology for biomedical engineering at Louisiana Tech and also served as an instructor for graduate and undergraduate independent studies in cell culture and microscopy.
