Commander of the Air Force Global Strike Command Lieutenant General Stephen W. "Seve" Wilson will deliver the keynote address. Wilson is responsible for organizing, training, equipping, and maintaining all U.S. intercontinental ballistic missile and nuclear-capable bomber forces. The command comprises more than 23,000 professionals operating at various locations around the globe. Wilson received his commission from Texas A&M University in 1981. He has commanded at the squadron, group, wing, and numbered Air Force level and is a command pilot with more than 4,600 flying hours and 680 combat hours.

"Centenary is devoted to serving veterans and active military members and their families year-round with programs like the Yellow Ribbon GI Education Enhancement Program," said Vice President for Finance & Administration Robert "Bob" Blue, Colonel, USAF, Retired. "We are honored that Lieutenant General Stephen Wilson has chosen to commemorate Veterans Day with Centenary this year. His leadership has inspired and motivated thousands of Air Force men and women and we look forward to hearing his message."

The program will also include music by members of the Centenary College Choir, words by Col. Blue, taps by student Christopher Cates, and a reading of the Presidential Veterans Day Proclamation by student veteran Dannie Cox.

The Yellow Ribbon GI Education Enhancement Program is a provision of the Post-9/11 Veterans Educational Assistance Act of 2008. The Post-9/11 GI Bill provides a portion of tuition expenses to which Centenary College and the Department of Veteran Affairs then contribute funds to ensure eligible post-9/11 veterans or their dependents attend Centenary tuition free.
