"It's been a crazy few months. I've not played organized basketball since our conference championship game," Blount said in an interview with GoCentenary.com. "I'm learning to be more involved with the organization, not just with basketball, but also with the community."

Blount, a two-time SCAC Player of the Year, a first team all-conference selection, and a five-time conference player of the week, credits Centenary with helping prepare him for the experience overseas.

"My experiences at Centenary helped a lot because of the focus on diversity. Module opened me up to the Spanish culture. I took the Latino Culture module my last semester, and it taught me some of the differences between our cultures," Blount said. "I was able to bring that with me to Spain. It's not the same, but there are similarities between the Latino culture and the Spanish culture. It's like differences between northerners and southerners in the States. How we say things different, but it's still English. If I had gone to school anywhere else, I wouldn't have gotten that experience and that diversity."

Blount concluded his career ranked eighth in the 1,000 point club for the Maroon and White and tenth in the conference with 1,573 career points. He finished his career with six 30-plus point games, which ranks 10th in program history, and he is ninth in 3-point field goals made with 138 in his stellar career.

In Blount's final season, Centenary posted a 9-3 record on its home floor en route to finishing second in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference with an 18-10 mark and 10-4 in the conference.
