College announces late start due to weather

SHREVEPORT, LA — The College has been closely monitoring the weather throughout the day, and current forecasts indicate that winter precipitation will begin to move out of the Shreveport-Bossier area this evening. Road conditions will improve as traffic begins to flow and temperatures increase steadily throughout the day on Tuesday.

Based on this information, College officials have decided to re-open Centenary's Administrative offices at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, February 24. Classes and all scheduled campus activities will resume at 12 p.m. Food service will continue on a regular schedule, with the exception of breakfast which will have a delayed start of 8 a.m.

Because winter weather can be unpredictable, all community members are urged to remain vigilant to hazardous travel conditions this evening and in the early morning hours tomorrow. College officials will also continue to monitor the weather and will take appropriate steps to ensure the safety of students, faculty, and staff if the weather situation deteriorates.
