Dr. Odom, Dean of the School of Music and recently named Hurley Chair in Music, will perform songs by Purcell, Strauss, Schubert, Massenet, Ravel, Rachmaninoff, Mozart and Corigliano. She will be accompanied by Gay Grosz, former Collaborative Artist in Residence at Centenary and currently Minister of Music at First United Methodist Church in Minden, Louisiana. Guest artists Ruth Drummond, Twyla Robinson, Dan Santelices, and Timothy Wright will each participate in part of the program.

"This is truly a collaborative program. I am so fortunate to be joined by a number of other artists whose contributions will make this a special evening," said Dr. Odom. "I'm looking forward to working with everyone as we put this together."

Violinist Dan Santelices will play during the Strauss and Rachmaninoff sets, clarinetist Timothy Wright will play Schubert's famous Shepherd on the Rock, and cellist Ruth Drummond is playing all the Purcell, as well as one Massenet piece. Centenary's Artist in Residence, Twyla Robinson, will collaborate with Odom on two duets that will end the program.

The recital is free and open to the public.
