Centenary hosts arts, athletics camps this summer

SHREVEPORT, LA — Centenary College is hosting a variety of camps throughout the summer, including arts and athletics-focused sessions. Opportunities are available for children ages 5-18.

Art, June 1-26
Young artisans have the opportunity to explore the natural and built world during the week-long Discovering Our World art camps under the direction of Centenary's Lecturer in Art Sarah Sherry. Students can choose to attend a morning or afternoon session. Each session is limited in size to 10 students, and early registration is recommended. Dance, June 15-22
Students will get moving this summer with dance camps for all ages and experience levels. From ballet to tap, jazz to modern, kids ages 6-13+ will have the opportunity to hone their skills with professional dancer and Centenary instructor Anna Kirkes. Baseball, May-July
The Centenary baseball program will host five camps, including a hitting camp, three general week camps, and a day camp at Shehee Stadium. Basketball, June-July
Boys and girls ages five to 14 can participate in a variety of basketball programs this summer. The Junior Skills Camps will run June 15-18 and June 22-25. The Advanced Skills Camp is scheduled June 29-July 2 and the Shooting Camp is planned for July 20-23. Soccer, June-July
The Centenary soccer program will host seven summer camps: Advanced Youth Camp, Residential Camp, Full Day Soccer Camp, Team Camp, Day Camp, Lil Booters Camp, and Goalkeeper Academy in the months of June and July. Volleyball, July-August
Volleyball players can benefit from three intensive two-day clinics focusing on serving and passing, setting and hitting, and all skills during the month of July. Other summer volleyball offerings include a showcase clinic and team tournament August 7-8, and satellite clinics available to high school programs.
