Centenary fraternity plans Philanthropy Week, Oct. 26-30

TKE Philanthropy Week

SHREVEPORT, LA — Centenary's Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity will host a week of events in October to raise awareness about and funds for its national philanthropy, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. With events both on and off campus between October 26 and 30, fraternity members will promote the St. Jude's mission and encourage community support for its programs.

"The brothers of Tau Kappa Epsilon are excited about this philanthropy week because philanthropy is one of our greatest opportunities to offer ourselves to a cause far greater than our small college community," said Victor Robert, Philanthropy Chair for Tau Kappa Epsilon. "St. Jude Children's Research Hospital is an incredible cause and it costs over two million dollars a day for the hospital to operate. We at Tau Kappa Epsilon are joyful in the chance to offer what we have for what they require."

Events planned during TKE's Philanthropy Week include:

Monday, October 26
Information session and donation collection outside the Centenary cafeteria, 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Wednesday, October 28
Fundraiser at Twisted Root Burger Co., 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
